Garden Carts

Our solution for small farm schlepping. When we really think about it, the majority of our work is moving stuff from one place to another. These carts allow several people to work at different times in different areas. They help us move tools and supplies, seedlings, mountains of weeds, and of course harvested flowers. We get a lot of questions about the harvest carts when they show up in videos. So- here you go!

Have a closer look with this quick tour of our garden carts and the handy shelf modifications that we add for holding even more stuff (we use them most for collecting the leaves that we strip from stems during harvests in the field). Our carts allow us to harvest and process flowers right in the fields, instead of moving them inside and setting them all out to clean stems there.

We buy our carts and umbrellas online. The carts require some assembly, but they are easy enough for 1 person to handle. An alternative use for a cart like this and an umbrella is as a mobile or temporary flower stand if you’re ready to sell flowers but don’t want to build a stand. We also used these for no-touch order pick-up during the height of the pandemic- we parked them at the end of the drive so that people could find and take their orders without interacting with us. This is a great solution for new farmers who are nervous about having people drive and park on their property (and potentially trip/fall — a very fair liability concern). Hope you enjoyed this tool tip! Have a problem or pain point that needs solving? Let us know :)
