How to Store Netting

Bonus tip! We sometimes use Hortonova netting as a horizontal support for crops like stock, snapdragons, and flowering cabbage, among others. We have also used it for vertical support for vines like sweet peas, hyacinth bean, and cup and saucer vine.

We re-use all of our Hortonova netting, but many growers throw out this plastic product, creating plastic pollution that is dangerous for wild animals when it inevitably ends up in their habitat.

We find that much of the frustration around saving this product for future seasons lies in storing it in a logical, organized manner. Have a look at how we re-purpose the lids of our incoming fall bulb crates to serve as spools for our Hortonova netting.
