Instagram Story/Reel Support
Hello! Several of you have asked for some help with Instagram Stories/Reels.
There is honestly an endless wormhole of directions and tips. I’m going to dip my toe into some of them and if you’d like to dig in more, hopefully you’ll be empowered to do that! If I don’t talk about the specific thing you’d like to learn more about — let me know. There will most certainly be more mosts about marketing and storytelling through Instagram in the future!
First tip:
There are some really fun things that you can do right from the basic story/reel editing menu in Instagram.
You can use the type feature to make block of color for framing images or stickers. You can even make them look like polaroid snapshots. You can add your photos in and change the shape of the photo just by tapping.
Second tip:
Check out Instagram stickers and look for some less standard stickers that communicate the feeling of your brand better. Try one of the following keyword searches to locate some that might feel a bit more “farmer-florist.”

Or try some really simple stickers and use them to emphasize your photos or videos. Try keywords like: lines, border, paint, brush, tape, simple, square, rectangle.
Third Tip:
Look for effects that make sense for your work. So many of the effects alter the colors of flowers (not ideal for us), are a bit too weird/silly in my opinion, or do crazy things to selfie videos. You can search for effects by adding a story and switching to camera mode. This is where you can search through the effects and save them for later use. I dug through a bunch ahead of this post.
