Patterned Tissue Paper

Hello, some members reached out and asked if I’d share more information about the patterned tissue paper we started using here at Little Farmhouse Flowers.

We think it’s adorable and love how it is adding a little extra fluff and color to our bouquets.

We ordered this tissue paper from Noissue.co. It is printed with soy-based ink and is recyclable and household compostable. It is also FSC (Forest Stewardship) certified. NoIssue is based out of New Zealand. And they reportedly have a number of plants/distributors around the world. The papers are shipped through a “carbon neutral” process - but unfortunately ours were shipped from very far away (China).

While we’re satisfied with the product and the service from the company (they are very proactive about confirming file sizes and proofs), the papers are heavy to ship and awkward for carriers to transport (large, flat, heavy, flexible box).

The distance also means that the papers take a while to print and ship (about 2-3 weeks). So far, we’ve really loved the extra touch the patterned paper brings to our bouquets.

We’re lining out pre-made ARoo craft paper sleeve wrappers with the tissue paper, using it with loose craft paper sheets when we wrap large bouquets, and line our vase arrangement boxes with the papers, too. We’re excited to bring a nicer look to all of our flowers sales. We will also use it to package our wedding orders.

We’re about to increase our prices on our bunches flowers, so we will include the cost of the tissue paper in that bump. Noissue papers go down in price per sheet, the more sheets you order. Here is the current pricing chart from their website:

If you’d like to learn how to make your own seamless pattern design to send off for printing, I’m going to share how to do that in next post.
