Product Preview Sheet Template

Hello! A Pro Platform member inquired recently for a template for sharing product listing with wholesale buyers. It’s not a template that we’ve kept and used here ourselves before, but I think it’s a good idea!

I edited a template from Canva and turned it into something that could work well for us in the small flower farming industry.

Most large, regional and national wholesale flower lists are shared as boring documents with text only. As smaller, local farms, we generally have fewer types of products to sell, and we benefit from being able to show our products to prospective buyers. Providing photos can save your buyers time and frustration- it means they won’t have to look up everything you’ve shared with them. So these templates are heavy on the image blocks. Templates like this are easy to modify. I’ll show you some quick tricks in the video.

Favorite keyboard shortcuts for faster design work:

On a Mac we use the “option” key and click and drag to multiply selections.

On a PC we use “alt” key and click and drag to multiply selections.

On a Mac, we use the “command” key and the “A” key at the same time to select all.

On a PC, we use the “ctrl” key and the “A” key at the same time to select all.

I also added some layouts to support fewer images and more text listings. Sometimes we’re growing something new or anticipating an upcoming harvest and don’t yet have photos. Click here to view the templates and learn a few tricks for faster design work!

As always, I recommend that you STEER CLEAR of appropriating someone else’s photos. PLEASE DO NOT USE SOMEONE ELSE’S PHOTOS (unless you have express permission from them to do so). Doing so can land you in HOT legal water. There is a firm that reaches out to me frequently asking to me to let them “represent me” and go after people who are taking my images. It would be a very simple process for me. I say “yes”. They send me checks that are a potion of the settlement fees they’d collect from letters sent to the people appropriating my photos. They operate internationally. It doesn’t matter where the images are or who is taking them. This is really a very serious topic. See this past post about image appropriation.

I still recommend that you make buying for your customer (and selling for you) as easy and simple and automated as possible. I hope you’ll get your website to do the work for you, if you aren’t doing that already. However, some prospective customers may want to know what you have to offer before they open a wholesale account with you. Some sample sheets like this might be helpful.

When reaching out to a new buyer, be sure to share a little information about your business and include a photo of you, if possible. Make sure you email signature is warm. Consider adding a custom email signature.
