Rear Facing Phone Screen

Hello everyone and welcome back! I hope you're all doing well.

The Challenge of Solo Photography

If you're like me and often find yourself needing to capture photographs or videos of yourself, you understand how challenging it can be. Getting those bouquet shots, particularly when you're alone, can be tedious. It’s something that is easy to avoid when you’re busy or in a time crunch.

Introducing the Snaply Screen

To tackle this issue, I've begun using a handy device called the Snaply Screen. This screen attaches to the back of your phone and mirrors what you see on the front, allowing you to use the superior back cameras and stage your composition. Gone are the days of missing most of the action in your frame—as I frustratingly discovered in a video I shot weeks ago.

Features and Benefits

Let me pause to highlight some standout features of the Snaply Screen. This device costs around $29, and while it took about a month to arrive, I strongly recommend ordering early if you're interested. Alternatively, you can scout for similar-functioning screens that might offer a quicker delivery.

During this video, I’ll be using my iPhone's front-facing camera, which, I realize, causes some shakiness. Thankfully, the Snaply system includes a simple, portable tripod that helps stabilizes footage, enhancing your shooting experience. The screen and tripod combo allows for incredible flexibility, enabling you to see your scene clearly and ensure you're perfectly framed.

The Snaply screen also comes with a Bluetooth remote shutter, letting you start and stop recordings or snap photos easily. It's rechargeable, with a built-in lithium battery, and doesn't add extra cost if you opt for the full kit. Additionally, this kit includes a ring light with three brightness levels, which clips conveniently onto your phone. And a lightweight but sturdy telescoping tripod.

The tripod itself can extend to nearly eye level—ideal for someone like me, standing at 5'3". Plus, it collapses into a compact form, making it perfect for on-the-go use.

In retrospect, I wish I'd discovered this tool earlier. Capturing beautiful images of floral designs or bridal bouquets is essential, particularly as I often remind others to do. When you're solo, this device is a game-changer, allowing for confident self-photography and beautifully crisp photos.

Final Thoughts

If you order the tripod separately, it too includes a neat little Bluetooth remote that's easily stored within the tripod for safekeeping. Have questions about this tool? Feel free to reach out.

Until next time, happy photographing!
