Shipping Tips: Instagram Live video

Update 01.26.2023:
Our Shipping Flowers Course is now available! Check out the Special Offers tab for a course description and exclusive offer for our Pro Plan members!

Hello! I recently took some time to go live on Instagram and share a look at how we ship dry goods, since we’re shipping tulip bulbs right now. While tulip bulbs are perishable, we don’t need to ship them overnight like fresh flowers. So we consider them dry goods. Generally, our tulip bulbs arrive to customers anywhere from 2 to 5 days (depending on distance) after they leave the farm.

Have a look at this 20-minute video. In it, I share sources for our custom-branded packaging and their design— paper tape and stickers, our shipping automation system, our setup for packing, and various other things to consider if you want to start shipping products from your farm.

Watch the Instagram live video here.

Please share comments and questions below. I know there is some interest in fresh flower shipping— which has some more moving pieces. We will certainly share some insights when we’re shipping fresh flowers again. The best way to get set up with some good advice for shipping fresh flowers is to check out our new Shipping Flowers Course. Take a look at the Special Offers tab for an exclusive Pro Plan member discount.

Cheers!
