Boutonnière Pinning Tip

Tired of seeing your beautiful boutonnières slipping sideways in event photos that come back to you. Gah! Is that not one of the most annoying things? You open up that gallery and find photos of sideways and slipping boutonnieres from the last-minute amateur pinning jobs. I don’t mean amateur in a mean way— but that’s what boutonniere pinning is for pretty much ANYONE in the world aside from florists.

Here is a QUICK and simple tip that you can do yourself or easily TEACH your clients to do. It will help those boutonnières stand tall all night long. (And HELLO- those prom kids are not gentle on these things-so we need a means to help them survive the jumping on the dance floor!)

This tip involves pre-setting one pin in a vertical orientation. This way you can set the boutonnière’s location on the lapel and easily insert the second pin. The design is locked into place.
