Email Signature Upgrade
Hello! Here is a quick way to update your email signature for Google Mail (gmail) accounts or any email platforms that accommodate images in the signature area. Gmail accounts are email accounts ending in @gmail.com AND any professional account that is run by gmail. for example, my @littlefarmhouseflowers.com email accounts are supported by gmail.
Add a portrait image of you is an easy way to help break down the barrier that is created by all this non-personal electronic communication that we rely upon every day. It can help your customer feel more like they are talking with a real person. And that can be really great for us as business owners, too. If you have to deliver bad news, it’s nice to have this little reminder on your note there that you are a real human.
My email account is coordinated through my Squarespace website, which makes email marketing that much easier, because I can quickly list products from my web shop and share blog posts from my website with just a couple clicks. Everything is integrated and simple, and there is no need to purchase a third party bulk emailer system like Mail Chimp or Flodesk unless you want to have some more advanced features. But frankly, Squarespace is always improving their product and they’re open to changes. I have not yet outgrown their system. I’m getting close, but it’s so convenient, that I’d rather wait and see if they can apply a few suggestions we’ve made before I look elsewhere.
If you’re interested in setting up a website for your business, and potentially adding a professional email account, check out my new website starter course. I’ll walk you through that.
Here is a video and template that you can use for your gmail account and other email platforms that support images in email signatures. Use this link for an editable Canva template to upgrade your email signature as seen in the video. Or craft something on your own similar to the images below.
