Phone Photo/Video Storage
I take a ton of photos- so a recent request for help with saving storage space on cell phones definitely rang true with me! Here are a couple of settings to adjust on your iPhone to help with storage problems and I’m also sharing the web-based storage platform (Dropbox) that we use for all of our large photo and video files. None of these solutions is perfect, but I hope they help some!
Some nice features of Dropbox:
-You can export single images directly to Instagram.
-If you save multiple images or videos from Dropbox to your iPhone they are added to your camera roll in the chronological sequence that the photos were taken. (If the photos or videos were timestamped in June, you may have to go back to your June photos to find them. This can be a bit annoying. BUT if you are putting together an Instagram reel, the images will appear as the most recent in those available right inside the Instagram app.
-Some professional photographers use portfolio-sharing platforms that allow you to download an ENTIRE file of images quickly and in a single click to Dropbox. This is an easy way to bank a whole wedding gallery or a photoshoot from your business. One of those platforms is Pic-Time. Our preferred photographer for our photoshoots here uses this platform and it is super convenient for us, too!
